It is our pleasure to share our "We Love What We Do" 2015 Community Report.

Two decades ago, our leaders had a unique vision for wellness. They saw beyond the traditional model of health care that focused on sickness to a new system of care that focused on keeping people well.

This year Health First celebrates our 20th anniversary of providing Brevard County with an Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) that includes four award-winning hospitals, the county's largest multi-specialty medical group, extensive Outpatient & Wellness services and nationally recognized health insurance plans.

Our history of delivering high quality health care to the Space Coast dates much further back - to the opening of Brevard's first hospital in 1937. In those days, hospitals were at the center of health care and the goal was to treat people only when they became sick.

Today our team of 8,000 associates is dedicated to keeping our community healthy by emphasizing preventive services, wellness resources and education. We love what we do.

As the only not-for-profit IDN in Central Florida and the largest private employer in Brevard, we are a truly local company that continues to reinvest in the community we serve. Health First has a long history of giving back to our community and we remain committed to ensuring no one is denied needed medical care.

Health First marks our 20-year milestone following a year in which we provided a record-setting amount of community support. In total for 2014, counting all contributions we made to other organizations and our direct charity and uncompensated care, Health First provided more than $119 million of community support to Brevard.

Over the years, Health First has grown into the premier health and wellness system on the Space Coast, and we continue to expand beyond Brevard County. We're on a mission to provide the right care in the right place at the right time and to be in the top 10 percent nationally in Quality/No Harm, Customer Experience and Stewardship.
