Pharmacy Consultation
What is Pharmacy Consultation?
Pharmacy consultation is a review of your medications with a registered pharmacist (R.D.) or doctor of pharmacy (Pharm.D.). By reviewing your medical history, the medications you have been prescribed, over-the-counter medications, and/or herbal or vitamin products you consume, the pharmacist can provide you with a wealth of information; they can explain how the medications work and why you are taking them, the best ways to take the medication, the possible side effects to watch out for, potential conflicts with other medications or other diseases you have, and sometimes ways to use medications more economically.
