Seniors at Lunch
What is Seniors at Lunch?
Seniors at Lunch is a program provided at areas throughout the community where a nutritious meal is provided 5 days a week. The Seniors at Lunch program offers opportunities for socialization and companionship. It also offers programs related to nutrition, weekly exercise classes and health education. Holiday parties and picnics are also fun, especially the August ice cream social. Door-to-door transportation is available through the SCAT bus system for those who need transportation. There is no set fee for transportation, lunch or the activities but donations are accepted. You can attend as many or as few days a week as you like.
Please make reservations early: Meal reservations at all sites are needed by 12:30PM the previous serving day. Centers are open Monday through Friday except where noted. Refer to each site’s information.
Bus service is available to most areas. It usually takes a few days to begin the bus pick up service via SCAT. Call 639-8770 for more information on the centers and bus service in your area.
