The Affordable Care Act requires Individual plans that begin on or after January 1, 2014 to cover certain essential health benefits, including pediatric dental care. In Florida, this requirement includes dental coverage for all covered persons who have not reached 19 years of age.
For easy access, Health First Health Plans automatically includes these benefits for eligible members in all our Individual plans. Pediatric Dental benefits feature:
- No additional premium
- No cost share for covered benefits
- No annual maximum
Note: members with HSA or Catastrophic plan coverage must meet their deductible first prior to experiencing zero cost share covered services.
