Over-the-Counter (OTC)

Each quarter you will receive an allowance that you can use toward health-related over-the-counter (OTC) items and drugs that are not covered by Medicare Part A, B or D. Simply use your preloaded debit card to purchase these items. Use it anytime you need to purchase eligible OTC items like cold and allergy medicine, vitamins, first aid essentials, and pain relievers.

When will I receive my funds on my debit card?

On the first day of every quarter—January, April, July, and October—your allowance dollars will automatically be added to your card.

Do unused funds roll over on my debit card?

Your allowance does not roll over and will expire at the end of the quarter. Be sure to use it before the three months are over.

How do I activate my debit card?

1. Have your new member ID number handy and follow the instructions on the card.

2. Visit a retail partner. CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, and other retailers in the InComm network let you pay for eligible items with your card.  You can locate participating retailers by going to myotccard.com

OTC home delivery services.

You may use your allowance to purchase eligible OTC items through CVSHealth, and receive free delivery. CVSHealth offers a broad, flexible catalog of OTC items.  Their online ordering can be filtered to "Eligible only" products to make things simple and reduce confusion.  This service offers regular order status updates at no cost to members.

Can I use my OTC allowance for dental services?

Your OTC allowance and dental allowance use the same debit card.  However, the OTC allowance and dental allowance are separate benefits.  Each allowance can only be used for the respective products and services outlined in your plan benefit documents.

Was my credit impacted by this card?

Your new card is a debit card. Your credit was not used to secure the card.
