About the program.
The Observer Program offers participants a behind-the-scenes glimpse of careers in healthcare, and an observership is open to anyone over the age of 16 who meets the criteria outlined below. This voluntary experience does not constitute employment, compensation, medical education, or any training leading to academic credit, licensure, or board certification. The Observer Program will not issue grades or written evaluations. The sponsor will sign off on confirmation of observation hours only.
Participants must be ages 16 or older (18 years of age to observe in the OR, ED, Mother/Baby Unit, and Pediatric Department).

- Government-issued photo ID
- FL Medical License (if applicable)
- Sign an observer agreement - If you are under the age of 18, the agreement also requires parental signature.
- If you are looking to observe a Physician, APRN, PA, CRNA, Anesthesia Assistant, or CNM, you must independently research affiliated healthcare providers and secure observership with a sponsor. Once secured, fill out the Sponsor Approval Form.
