Dr. Kyle Anderson is a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician focusing in primary care including preventative medicine, health and wellness maintenance, and sports medicine. He also has an interest and additional training in the care of the elderly in the long-term care / nursing home setting.

He was named the 1982 Outstanding graduate from the College of Engineering when he received his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering / Pre-Med from Oklahoma State University. He received his Medical Degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. He had three children while attending Vanderbilt; Evan, Sarah, and Ashley, who prompted his return to Oklahoma Teaching hospitals in Oklahoma City for his internship and residency so that his wife and children would be closer to extended family. At Oklahoma Teaching hospitals, he pursued internal medicine training with additional training in non-invasive vascular/non-invasive cardiology diagnostics.

After completing residency, Dr. Anderson moved with his family to Melbourne in 1989. He and Dr. Timothy Truitt, who trained in internal medicine with him in Oklahoma City, opened an office in Palm Bay in 1989. During his career, he established the Palm Bay Hospital IM hospitalist program and is currently coordinating the HRMC IM rounding physician program.

Dr. Anderson is the team physician for all varsity sports for FIT (Florida Institute of Technology) in Melbourne, Florida, and is a regular volunteer for the local high school, FIT, and Washington Nationals sports physicals. He is also the medical director for two local nursing home/rehab center, The Palms and Indian River Center, and has been named the Florida Medical Director of the year by the IRC parent company, Alpha Physicians, in 2007 and 2010. In 2009, he was recognized as a CMD (Certified Medical Director) by AMDA (American Medical Directors Association) and in October 2012 received board certification through ABIM (American Board of Internal Medicine) in Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine.

Dr. Anderson is a volunteer associate faculty member for the University of Central Florida Medical School in Orlando and is working with the third and fourth year medical students in the outpatient and hospital setting. He is looking forward to the eventual arrival of UCF internal medicine interns and residents.

New patients should arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled appointments to complete all paperwork. They should bring their insurance cards, a government-issued photo ID, and lists of their medicines and any prior operations. Co-pays and any outstanding balances are due at the time of each visit. Generally, operations or procedures won't take place on the first visit.
