Germaine M. Blaine, MD, MPH, a member of the Health First Medical Group, is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Hematology, and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and the American Association for Physician Leadership.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. She received a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. She then earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Epidemiology with an emphasis in Clinical Investigation from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL.

Dr. Blaine completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at The Bowman Gray School of Medicine/Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, NC. She then completed a fellowship in Hematology/Medical Oncology at the University of South Florida at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL. Following her fellowship, Dr. Blaine served as Instructor and later Assistant Professor for the Department of Interdisciplinary Oncology/Malignant Hematology program at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL.

She has been in private practice in medical oncology in Brevard County from 2004 - 2015. She has also been the Cancer Liaison Physician for Parrish Medical Center's Commission on Cancer program from 2010 to 2015. Before joining Health First, Dr. Blaine turned her career focus to hospice and palliative care. She served as Associate Medical Director for Wuesthoff Hospice and Palliative Care in Rockledge, FL and most recently, Dr. Blaine served as the Medical Director for St. Francis Pathways to Healthcare palliative care program in Brevard County, FL.

Dr. Blaine earned the Susan J. Mellette Scholarship Award for academic achievement and interest and activities in oncology for two consecutive years in medical school, and she has published numerous articles on topics related to medical oncology.
