Dr. Prendergast is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate from the University of Notre Dame in 2004. He graduated from The University of Florida College of Medicine in 2008 where he was selected for The Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

Dr. Prendergast completed his internship at Presbyterian - St. Luke's Medical Center in Denver Colorado in 2009, followed by a Clinical and Translational Science Program at The University of Alabama, at Birmingham (UAB) in 2011. He completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at UAB in July 2013 and is a board certified diplomate of The American Board of Radiology.

Currently, Dr. Prendergast is a member of the Radiologic Society in North America (RSNA); American Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology (ASTRO); and the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO), where he has been appointed to the Resident Committee from 2011-2013.

New patients should arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled appointments to complete all paperwork. They should bring their insurance cards, a government-issued photo ID, and lists of their medicines and any prior operations. Co-pays and any outstanding balances are due at the time of each visit. Generally, operations or procedures won't take place on the first visit.
