Internal Medicine

Kati Craig is an APRN-FNP for the Health First Medical Group. She provides primary care to adults in Internal Medicine at the Gateway office in Melbourne. She provides a range of primary care services to patients, from young adult to geriatric age. Kati is skilled in joint and trigger point injections, skin biopsy as well as removal of lesions, suturing and cryotherapy. She treats and manages chronic diseases such as anxiety, diabetes, depression, hypertension, and hypothyroidism. In addition to illness and sick care, Kati performs wellness exams, physicals, well woman exams with Pap screening and breast exam. She also cares for patients with acute illness and injury treatment.

Kati has a special interest in wellness and provides a specialized weight loss program for interested patients. Her graduate study focused on behavioral interventions for weight loss. As an avid endurance athlete, she also has a keen interest in sports medicine and orthopedic related injuries.

Kati graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Her undergraduate nursing degree was completed at Florida Southern College in Lakeland.

Kati is a near-native of the Space Coast attending local schools through high school. She then lived out of state for ten years after college where she practiced nursing in Connecticut, Rhode Island and Arizona. She lives in Satellite Beach with her three children. She is an avid endurance runner, cyclist and swimmer and is also involved with children's sports of soccer and baseball.

New patients should arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled appointments to complete all paperwork. They should bring their insurance cards, a government-issued photo ID, and lists of their medicines and any prior operations. Co-pays and any outstanding balances are due at the time of each visit. Generally, operations or procedures won't take place on the first visit.
