Lindsay Ellis Hickerson, MD, is a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon fellowship trained in Orthopedic Trauma. She moved to Brevard from Oklahoma City, where she served as assistant professor in Orthopedic Trauma surgery at the only Level 1 Trauma center in the state. At Oklahoma University Health Science Center, she helped train the next generation of orthopedic surgeons and published multiple articles contributing to the advancement of Orthopedics. She completed her Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship at the prestigious Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, New York. She is originally from Virginia, where she completed Orthopedic Surgery Residency and Medical School at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System in Richmond, Virginia, the busiest Level 1 Trauma Center in the state. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Dr. Hickerson is licensed in Oklahoma, New York and Florida. She has an Oklahoma Board of Narcotics license and DEA license. Dr. Hickerson is certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support.

Policies

New patients should arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled appointments to complete all paperwork. They should bring their insurance cards, a government-issued photo ID, and lists of their medicines and any prior operations. Co-pays and any outstanding balances are due at the time of each visit. Generally, operations or procedures won't take place on the first visit.
