I have been a Family Physician in Indialantic for 20 years. My residency, medical school and my Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology were all done in Colorado. Therefore, my practice of medicine has always had a preventive approach. Actually, my essay to get into medical school spoke of prevention and empowering patients to be as healthy as they can be. I still believe in this approach and it is a privilege in Family Medicine to deal with all ages and with the entire body and mind to help patients empower themselves to better health. Over the years my patients make me proud!

Dr. Hyvonen received recognition in 2010 and in October 2013 for the Delivery of Quality Diabetes Care by NCQA (the National Committee for Quality Assurance). In 2011, she received recognition for providing excellent care to persons with cardiovascular disease or stroke from NCQA's Heart/Stroke recognition program.

New patients should arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled appointments to complete all paperwork. They should bring their insurance cards, a government-issued photo ID, and lists of their medicines and any prior operations. Co-pays and any outstanding balances are due at the time of each visit. Generally, operations or procedures won't take place on the first visit.
