Steven Karas, MD, is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, interventional cardiology and nuclear cardiology.

Dr. Karas received his medical degree from Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina. He completed both an internship and residency at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, where he also completed a fellowship in cardiology. He also completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology at Emory University-Affiliated Hospitals in Georgia.

New patients should arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled appointments to complete all paperwork. They should bring their insurance cards, a government-issued photo ID, and lists of their medicines and any prior operations. Co-pays and any outstanding balances are due at the time of each visit. Generally, operations or procedures won't take place on the first visit.
