Michele McCarthy-Lavish is a Registered Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) with an extensive background in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Critical Care and Emergency Nursing. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and her Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from Barry University, Miami Shores, FL. She also earned her AA from highland Community College in Freeport, IL.

Michele spent 11 years of her nursing career working as a Family Nurse Practitioner with Quality Medical Care in Palm Bay, FL providing comprehensive medical care at an established Internal Medicine and Cardiology practice. Michele also worked as a Nurse Practitioner at Lauderdale Medical Group in Fort Lauderdale, FL, a Nurse Practitioner Hospitialist with Baptist Hospital in Kendall, FL and a Cardiothoracic Nurse Practitioner with Cedars Medical Center in Miami, FL. Her nursing background also includes several years working as a Registered Nurse for Freeport Memorial hospital in Freeport, IL and for the Villas of Shannon in Shannon, IL.

Currently serving as a preceptor for nurse practitioner students at Barry University, Nova Southeast, Florida Atlantic and Ball State University, Michele also provided presentations to the Greater Miami Chapter of Critical Care Nurses, Barry University Nursing Student Association and Olsten Kimberly Nursing Service. She is also a member of the American Association of Critical Care nurses, the American Nurses Association, the American Heart Association, the Sigma Theta Tau International, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Alumni Association of Barry University.

Office Location


New patients should arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled appointments to complete all paperwork. They should bring their insurance cards, a government-issued photo ID, and lists of their medicines and any prior operations. Co-pays and any outstanding balances are due at the time of each visit. Generally, operations or procedures won't take place on the first visit.
