Merlyn received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the College of New Rochelle in New Rochelle, NY. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Adult Nurse Practitioner from College Mount St. Vincent in Riverdale, NY. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Marist College of Poughkeepsie, NY.

Merlyn has more than a decade of nursing experience. Before joining Health First Medical Group, she served as an Adult Nurse Practitioner in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation for Vero Orthopedics/Vero Neurology in Vero, FL. She has also worked as an Adult Nurse Practitioner in Liver/Kidney/Pancreas Transplant Unit for New York University Medical Center in New York, NY. Additionally, her experience includes working as a staff RN in the PACU/SICU at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY and as a staff RN for Beth Israel Medical Center in New York in the PACU/Recovery and Medical/Surgical/Oncology.

Merlyn is certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Committee and is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Transplant Society.

Policies

New patients should arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled appointments to complete all paperwork. They should bring their insurance cards, a government-issued photo ID, and lists of their medicines and any prior operations. Co-pays and any outstanding balances are due at the time of each visit. Generally, operations or procedures won't take place on the first visit.
