Dr. Nevarez is board-certified in Family Practice. He is a graduate from the University of Puerto Rico where he completed a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. Dr. Nevarez was later accepted at Central del Caribe School of Medicine, where he successfully completed his medical doctor degree. He then went to Penn State University where he obtained his specialty degree in Family Practice. After his residency, he and his wife (Dr.Soto) decided to come to Melbourne to practice medicine. Dr. Nevarez currently has privileges at Palm Bay Hospital and has pending privileges at Holmes Regional Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Hispanic American Medical Association.

Dr. Nevarez's practice of medicine consists of patient of all ages, from newborn to the elderly. He has a special interest in preventive medicine, managing chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and hypercholesterolemia, and he performs minor surgical procedures in the office, including skin biopsies. He is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

On the personal side, Dr. Nevarez enjoys spending time with his 3 children and his wife. He also enjoys outdoor activities including jogging and swimming. Dr. Nevarez has a special interest in movies and fine arts.

New patients should arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled appointments to complete all paperwork. They should bring their insurance cards, a government-issued photo ID, and lists of their medicines and any prior operations. Co-pays and any outstanding balances are due at the time of each visit. Generally, operations or procedures won't take place on the first visit.
