Sports-related arthroscopic procedures

Sports Medicine is a sub-specialty of orthopedics dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries suffered during athletic activity. The goal of treatment is to heal and rehabilitate the injury through the most advanced, minimally invasive treatments available.

Sports Medicine arthroscopic procedures are used to treat ligament tears (ACL, MCL), meniscal tears, fractures, muscle contusions (bruise), muscle cramps and shin splints, sprains, strains, stress fractures, and torn tendons and ligaments of the rotator cuff and labrum of the shoulder.

The specialist surgeons in our program have specialized training in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of sports injuries.  Using arthroscopy, exercise regimens, and physical therapy, we can help athletes at any level to return to their favorite sports activities as quickly as possible.

Services prvoided at Cape Canaveral HospitalHolmes Regional Medical CenterPalm Bay Hospital, and Viera Hospital.
