September 12, 2019

MELBOURNE, Fla. (September 12, 2019) - About 30 Health First associates coordinated a collection to assist those in the Bahamas who were devastated by Hurricane Dorian. With more than 9,000 Health First associates, 40,348 items were donated over a two-day period across various drop-off locations across the system.

About 30 associates teamed up at the Health First Distribution Center to help sort, pack and label boxes filled with important and much-needed aid that will help those still reeling from the storm.

Among the items donated were baby wipes, diapers, formula, personal hygiene items, batteries, flashlights, plastic utensils and paper towels, plates and bowls. These items will be loaded onto a boat this weekend, bound for the Bahamas.

In addition, Health First associates collected almost $10,000 to the disaster relief cause through the Health First Foundation.
