Health First Director says, 'If we don't plan for the worst, we're never really prepared.'
HEALTH FIRST Director of Emergency Preparedness, Wayne Struble, told ABC affiliate WFTV “We may never have a tsunami. But if we don't prepare for it or plan on it and talk through that, we're never really prepared.”
Space Coast residents were surprised to learn the rumbling they felt hours before launch on Feb. 7, 2024, was a 4.0 earthquake centered about 100 miles off the coast of Cape Canaveral.
Several members of local media spoke to Health First Director of Emergency Preparedness, Wayne Struble, on dealing with potential disasters.

The U.S. Geological Survey sometimes gets reports after an earthquake that turn out to be maybe a sonic boom, but in this case it looks like this really was a natural earthquake.
