Visit coordinated by Hospice caregivers, museum staff
HOSPICE OF HEALTH FIRST patient and classic car enthusiast Chester “Chet” Larwa saw his wish come true when he rolled up to the American Muscle Car Museum in Melbourne Feb. 21. Larwa is a U.S. Navy veteran, a retired postal carrier and drag racer hobbyist.
The staff at Hospice of Health First get to know their patients, and when it comes to Chester “Chet” Larwa, they’d heard enough to know that if he could get inside Mark Pieloch’s American Muscle Car Museum in Melbourne, he would bring a wealth of knowledge and memories to the experience.
On Wednesday, the staff at Hospice of Health First worked with their counterparts at the museum to give Larwa the opportunity.
The museum was founded by philanthropist Mark Pieloch, who has been generous of his time and resources with people in the area and Health First.
“I’m a car nut,” Larwa says. “I’d never heard about this place until recently, but I can see now that this is better than any auto show I’ve been to.”
