“To have a patient return and see her doing as well as she is, it’s absolutely awesome,” says Health First First Flight Director.
AN UNUSUAL REUNION was spotlighted on WESH 2 News ahead of Mother's Day – a young woman transported by Health First First Flight air ambulance more than a decade ago as a 10-year-old reunited with the flight nurse who cared for her, Tiffany Bassani, in the aircraft hangar at Melbourne International Airport. The woman, Elise Reynolds, was joined by her mother, Anne-Marie. "Even now, it's sparking a lot of emotions for me and her," Elise said. "When I hear the helicopter flying overhead, it generates so much emotion," Anne-Marie said. Today, Bassani, a nurse, is Director of Patient Logistics for Health First's First Flight.
