Health First is pleased to announce a new customer-centric partnership with Phreesia to modernize our patient intake process.
Phreesia, a company providing automated registration tools, offers a comprehensive check-in experience for our patients, giving them the option to check in on their own mobile device, both before their appointment and in the office. Phreesia offers patients:
- 30% faster check-in when they use their own mobile device
- Increased convenience by allowing them to check in anywhere they have access to a smartphone, tablet or computer
- The ability to make payments prior to their appointment
- Waiting in their vehicle until they receive a message on their mobile device, which tells them it's time for their appointment
"I see the ability to have a digital patient intake process, through Phreesia, as a critical next step in our plan to make our services easier to use for our customers," said Frank Letherby, Chief Executive Officer of Health First Community Health Services. "We want to eliminate redundant and frustrating appointment and registration processes that delay the care experience."
Phreesia offers patients a way to minimize contact before their appointment. This allows them to finish the full registration process at home, complete verification forms and, if applicable, take care of any copayment before they even reach the parking lot. It's a crucial measure during COVID-19 to eliminate any unnecessary contact once in a medical office. Patients are escorted directly into an exam room.
"Now, more than ever, healthcare organizations are looking for ways to ensure that the care they deliver is safe for patients and staff," said Phreesia CEO Chaim Indig. "We are proud to work with Health First to help them streamline the intake process and to provide a better, safer patient experience."
80% of Health First Medical Group locations are now offering this service with key service features, which include:
- Virtual check-in
- Digital consent forms
- Copay and balance collections
- Establishment of payment plans
- COVID-19 prescreening
- Clinical intake - providing medication and medical history
"The use of Phreesia compliments our recent strategic partnership with Privia Health, as well as our significant expansion in offering virtual visits," Letherby said.
Preparations are already underway to extend Phreesia across all Health First Medical Group offices and also implement into acute settings.
