Health First announces new Leadership Team for new hospital
Viera Hospital's leadership has years of experience helping our local, Brevard community
VIERA, FL - Health First, Brevard County's locally-based and largest healthcare provider has announced the leadership team for Viera Hospital, the new Health First 100-bed acute care hospital scheduled to open in April 2011.
Viera Hospital VP of Operations
Deborah Angerami has been selected as the new VP of Operations at Viera Hospital. Her operational responsibilities include clinical, ancillary, and support services, as well as the new Medical Plaza, which is adjacent to Viera Hospital and is scheduled to open at the same time the hospital opens next April.
Angerami most recently served as administrative director of Viera Health Park. She joined Health First in June 2000, and has held leadership positions in Health First Health Plans, Corporate Strategic Planning & Business Development, and Holmes Regional Medical Center.
She received her Bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Fredonia and Master's degrees in Health Sciences Administration and Business Administration from the University of Florida.

Viera Hospital VP of Nursing
Sally Forsberg has been chosen as the new hospital's VP of Nursing. A Registered Nurse for more than 30 years, Forsberg received her Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and her Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida.
Forsberg has many years of hospital experience in various clinical and Nursing leadership positions, as a staff RN, nurse manager, and Director of Nursing, as well as expertise in clinical resource (case) management, and in leading patient safety and quality programs. In her most recent position at Health First she served as Patient Satisfaction Administrator.
"Sally will do an outstanding job in this inaugural role thanks to her in-depth knowledge and proven track record of excellence," Kennedy said.
Forsberg has authored numerous articles for journals and publications on topics in clinical care, patient safety, and quality. She holds several specialty certifications as a Nurse Executive, Advanced (NEA-BC); Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ); Certified Professional Coder for Hospitals (CPC-H); and in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC).
