Eduardo Maristany, MD


A hospitalist is a provider who specializes in caring for patients while they are in the hospital. Hospitalists work closely with your primary care provider and frequently inform him or her of your condition.

When you require hospitalization, your provider or an Emergency Department physician will coordinate your admission with a hospitalist. The hospitalists are on site 24 hours a day and work closely with all hospital staff to coordinate your care.

Eduardo Maristany, MD is part of our Health First hospitalist team. Dr. Maristany completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA where he was awarded the Outstanding Resident of the Year and the Outstanding Teacher of Medical Students. He earned his Doctor of Medicine Degree with Honors from Ross University School of Medicine in Edison, NJ and his Bachelor of Science from the University of Miami, where he also worked as a research assistant for the Department of Pharmacology.

Before his tenure at Health First, Dr. Maristany worked as an Academic Hospitalist and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine for Mercer school of Medicine at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA. He also served as a Locums Hospitalist at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, GA.

Dr. Maristany is a Miami native and is fluent in both Spanish and English.
