Tania Ziegler, MD

Family Medicine

Dr. Ziegler earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Toledo, College of Medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Classical Civilization at Emory College in Atlanta, GA and her pre-medical education was completed with Georgia Perimeter College in Lawrenceville, GA. Dr. Ziegler completed her residency in Family Medicine and Psychiatry with Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center.

Dr. Ziegler most recently worked as a Research Technician III with the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. She has also served as a Patient Care Assistant with Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA, I.V. Pharmacy Technician with Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA, Medical Billing/Order Intake, Oxy+Plus, Inc. in Norcross, GA and Pharmacy Technician Group Leader & Total Quality Advantage Facilitator, Caremark Prescription Service Division in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

A member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Ziegler has had her work published in medical publications and is active in medical research. She is also interested in global health working to promote community-based health education for Panajachel, Guatemala and improving healthcare delivery to refugee populations.

Committed to charitable work, Dr. Ziegler has volunteered her time to Access Women’s Shelter, the MS 150 Bike Tour for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Civil Air Patrol US Air Force Auxiliary, and Mercado Global. Her special interests include Geriatric Medicine, Helenistic International Studies in the Arts in Athens, Greece and NAUI advanced diving and rescue diving with training in DAN’s oxygen first aid for SCUBA diving injuries and PADI certification.
