2019 Grape Escape Makes Significant Impact on Heart Health in Brevard

Since 2001, the Grape Escape has been committed to one mission: fundraising for cardiovascular services offered at Health First, as part of the mission to improve the wellness and health of our community. These contributions are making a real difference for heart and vascular patients in Brevard.

Through the generous support of the Health First Foundation's 2019 Grape Escape, a record $615,000 was raised to bring the best heart and vascular care to Brevard County. This will cover nearly one-third the cost of the new-generation da Vinci Robot Xi. This Xi robot will provide:

  • Greater visualization (3D versus 2D)
  • Enhanced dexterity and greater precision, ultimately improving access to hard-to-reach areas and the ability to spare healthy tissue.
  • Patients will benefit from a shorter recovery period with this less-invasive surgical technology
