Heart Treatments

For the strong in spirit and the brave in heart.

Arrhythmia management.

If you are one of the 2.7 million Americans who live with atrial fibrillation (also called aFib), we offer a variety of leading–edge treatment options to help you get back to living your life to the fullest, including:

  • Electrophysiology studies
  • Left atrial appendage occlusion (Atriclip)
  • Watchman procedure
  • Cardioversion
  • Catheter ablation
  • Surgical ablation
  • Hybrid ablation (convergent)
  • Maze procedure
  • Holter
  • MCOT
  • Remote pacemaker monitoring

Are you at risk for atrial fibrillation? Take our short assessment.

Coronary artery disease treatments.

Our interventional cardiologists use fluoroscopy, CT scans and ultrasounds in nonsurgical treatment of various disorders including angioplasty and stents.

Minimally invasive cardiovascular/cardiothoracic surgery.

Specializing in minimally invasive approaches—including robot-assisted surgery—our cardiac surgeons use a variety of innovative techniques that result in less damage to the body. So you will experience less pain, fewer complications and a shorter hospital stay.

  • TAVR (Transcatheter aortic valve replacement)
  • Mitraclip (only FDA Transcatheter Mitral Repair)
  • TMVR (Transcatheter Mitral Valve Replacement/ Mitral Valve Replacement)
  • Robotic Left Atrial Appendage Management (Atriclip)
  • WATCHMAN
  • Minimally Invasive Surgery for Aortic/Mitral/Tricuspid
  • Valve Repair and Replacement

Non–invasive cardiac imaging.

We provide trusted cardiac imaging at several convenient locations to help you take a proactive approach in the prevention and/or treatment of heart failure, congenital heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, heart valve disease and aneurysm.

Our comprehensive cardiovascular risk reduction programs include lifestyle and advanced medical intervention under the supervision of board–certified lipid specialists, advanced practitioners and dietitians to protect your heart health now and in the future.

Cardiac rehabilitation.

Your cardiac team will design a rehabilitation program tailored to your needs. This program is designed to carefully modify the risks of heart disease through evaluation and instruction on physical activity, nutrition, stress management, and other key wellness factors. If you have one of the following diagnoses, you may be eligible to participate:

  • Heart attack
  • Angina
  • Cardiac surgery (coronary bypass or valve surgery)
  • Coronary artery angioplasty or stents
  • Heart failure

Cardiovascular risk prevention.

In addition to cardiac CTs, cardiac MRIs and cardiac PET scans, we also offer the following non–invasive diagnostic tests to help assess your risk of heart disease, including:

  • Cardiac CT for calcium scoring is a non–invasive way of obtaining information about the presence, location and extent of calcified plaque in the coronary arteries. It's essentially a scan that shows  the presence of any calcium deposits in the arteries.
  • Cardiac MRI produces detailed images of the beating heart. It can show the structure and function of the heart muscle, find the cause of heart failure, or pinpoint tissue damage after a heart attack. Our patients benefit from access to the latest MRI technology and the expertise of our cardiologists.
  • Cardiac PET scans provide improved accuracy, less radiation and increased efficiency in the detection of coronary artery disease compared to current modes of nuclear stress testing (SPECT).
  • Coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) is a non-invasive heart imaging test that analyzes the structure of the heart's blood vessels to determine whether plaque buildup has narrowed the coronary arteries.
  • Echocardiography, or cardiac ultrasound, emits high frequency sound waves to create images of the heart's structures, pumping action and direction of blood flow.
  • Electrocardiogram (EKG) is used to measure the electrical activity of your heart. An EKG can show if your heart is not getting enough oxygen, if a heart attack has occurred, what part of the heart was damaged or an irregular heartbeat or rhythm.
  • Stress testing is a screening tool used to test the effect of exercise on your heart. This test can help determine any abnormalities with your heart.
