Grieving Children and Teens Deserve a Safe Place. Bright Star offers a specialized grief support system for children and teens.

About the Bright Star Program

We offer a safe and supportive environment for children and teens dealing with loss to connect with peers, express their grief, and honor their loved ones. Our specialized grief support program empowers children and teens to thrive after loss through education, emotional support, and creative play.

Our program is suited for children and teens ages 5-18 and their families. Participants are grouped together by age and grade categories:

  • Kindergarten - 2nd grade
  • 3rd - 5th grade
  • 6th - 8th grade (middle school)
  • 9th - 12th grade (high school)
  • Caregivers (family members or friends caring for grieving youth and teens)

Our program typically meets twice per month for 90-minute sessions. Please call us at 321.434.7622 to learn more about the program. To refer a family to Bright Star, submit this form. Looking to enroll? Please fill out an application packet and return it to Bright Star.

*Please note that Bright Star does not provide private therapy or counseling.
