Florida Physician Leader Drew Fink, MD, Named Health First President of Community Health Services

DREW FINK, MD, comes from Clearwater, Florida-based BayCare Health System to lead Health First Community Health Services beginning in August. Health First, he says, “is an organization with an unrivaled passion for improving the lives of everyone it serves.”

Andrew “Drew” Fink, MD, FACP has been named President for Community Health Services for Brevard County’s Health First effective Aug. 5, 2024.

Dr. Fink brings to Health First and the Space Coast more than two decades of distinguished health care leadership experience, for the 18 years in various leadership roles with Clearwater, Florida-based BayCare Health System where he first began as a practicing internist.

The Health First Community Health Services division includes Health First Medical group and its dozens of specialties and over 320 physicians and 200 advanced clinical practitioners, and all Health First outpatient services.  

Fink served as BayCare Medical Group’s Chief Medical Officer from 2016-2018 before becoming its President from 2018-2023. He helped lead the nearly 800-provider multispecialty organization through a period of 40% growth and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Fink has dedicated his life and career to providing compassionate care for others as a bedside physician, as well as a steady and proven leader in building a tremendously successful patient-centered organization at BayCare,” said Kent Smith, Health First Board of Trustees’ Chair. “We are very fortunate to have Dr. Fink join our community and we look forward to working with him to advance Health First’s mission of providing exceptional care to the Space Coast.”

A board-certified Internist, Dr. Fink completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Dallas, graduated medical school from Washington University in St. Louis, and completed a residency at the University of Florida Shands Hospital.
