HEALTH FIRST VOLUNTEER Robin Rokobauer was recently featured in a community newspaper, Senior Life. The longtime Health First Volunteer is at the wheel of the Courtesy Cart at Health First’s Cape Canaveral Hospital most Monday mornings, with her pink ukelele and warm smile.

When local educator Robin Rokobauer retired from Cocoa Beach High School in 2012, she didn’t want that word – retire – to become a verb that described her too well. She had energy. She had something to give.

Today, Rokobauer is a longtime Health First Volunteer who enjoys the community she’s a part of as much as the noteworthy benefits she gets as an active volunteer – including 50% of any out-of-pocket health bill from the system when Rokobauer is an inpatient admittance at any Health First hospital or facility.

Health First has hundreds of volunteers throughout the health system, but more are needed. Visit HF/volunteer to learn more or sign up.

Recently, longtime volunteer Flora Kelly was featured in a number of media, including WESH 2 News and Space Coast Daily, and highlighted by state Sen. Debbie Mayfield in her weekly newsletter.

Health First has more than 9,000 associates spread over four hospital campuses, the flagship Health First Medical Group–Gateway, and dozens of specialty offices around Brevard County
