HEALTH FIRST CERTIFIED ATHLETIC TRAINER Christine Clancy knew just what to do when 18-year-old Melbourne High School wide receiver Ryan Cabrera went down following a hard hit after signaling a fair catch during a playoff game in November. She deduced that Cabrera may not "have gotten the wind knocked out of him" or "had his bell rung." He may have suffered a ruptured spleen. That would require immediate, emergent medical care at a hospital.
