WATCH Health First Among First in Florida For Its Post-COVID-19 Care Program

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), lingering COVID-19 conditions can include a range of health problems, from shortness of breath to fatigue, difficulty concentrating to chronic pain.

And these conditions can last weeks, months … or longer.

Now, Health First Medical Group has begun a dedicated Post-COVID-19 Care Program, one of the first such comprehensive programs in Florida and the first of its kind in Central Florida and Brevard County. It was designed to support the needs of those experiencing “long Covid”. Utilizing the support of dedicated physicians and nurse navigators (RN), the program provides education, supportive resources, and a single-point coordination of system-wide care.

“COVID-19 has presented our community with a variety of new and challenging needs. We are proud to offer a Post-COVID-19 Care Program, which includes education, resources and an overarching coordination of system-wide care for patients in order to help support them on their journey toward post-COVID-19 wellness,” said Mark Rosenbloom, MD, Health First Vice President of Clinical Transformation.

Patients who continue to experience symptoms at least one month after receiving a positive COVID-19 test result may be eligible to participate.
