Health First believes the future is well, and Brevard County trusts its health to Health First.
With 10,000 associates staffing four hospitals and a large multispecialty practice in offices from Malabar to Titusville, Brevard County’s leading health system stands ready.
It’s a commitment to reinvest in Brevard County. A report last year found that Health First’s economic impact in the community approached $900 million.
It spent $82 million at local businesses for products and services. It disbursed nearly a half million dollars in partnerships and grants to local not-for-profit organizations to address health needs in the community. Meanwhile, the Health First Foundation provided more than $1.2 million to invest in innovative tools and advanced practice to produce superior outcomes for Health First patients.
Then, in March, Health First broke ground on a new $410 million, state-of-the-art hospital on Merritt Island with 120 private patient beds, 25 Emergency Department treatment rooms and six operating rooms.
The effect this has on a place such as Brevard County, regularly ranked among the top places in the U.S. to live and work, shouldn’t be underestimated, says Michael Seeley, President of the Health First Foundation.
“Health First invests in cutting-edge technologies. That reputation, along with how attractive the Space Coast is as a place to call home, helps us recruit world-class providers,” he says. “Our commitment to our community, to investing in programs that promote wellness, has a measurable impact on Brevard County.”
